'54 hudson window trim

At this point I have only done the rear windows on my 54 cpe.
The clip comes off first. Plenty of WD40. Let WD40 do it's work first.
You'll be surprised how resiliant stainless is. I started at the back side first with a plastic scraper, and a window trim pryer that I got from Harbor freight. Work the back part loose from the metal edge working the trim down and forward to the front. Just go slow......Once you get the back part pried off about 1/4 of the way, then start with the front at the top and start working down. Again plenty of WD40. As it starts to separate itself from the metal edge you will see it loosen itself in places. at least 2-3 scrapers to get in behind the trim to work it loose. Use a Rubber mallet.
Once it gets loose of all the rust it will free itself and you will see where you have to use the plastic or wooden wedge if you prefer to work the rest loose. Once it's free of all the rust it will pop off. The back part of the stainless will go forward, and the front part to the back. It won't bend if you are careful and take your time. Once I tackled the left one I went for the right one also. Cleaned it up, shined it, and hung it up waiting for the completion of a paiint job next spring. WARNING......
DONT LOOSE THE CLIP.....I put the clips in a baggie, labeled them left and right and pinned them to the wall in the shop.
I thought it was going to be a job, but it's not that bad. Go for it...0
