Hey Hudnuts,

As it would be I have 3 fanbelts in the trunk of my 36 Terraplane.

Model 61 with the 212 splasher.

What is the correct one for her?

One seems too fat, one too short, and one seems too skinny! (No not a girl either!! No such thing as too short or skinny!)LOL

Anyway, they all seem kinda trashed so I want to get the right new one thats proper length and width.

Thanks,

T Jeff

Dave Kostansek has them in stock, probably Bill Albright as well.

Here are some that I've noted (over the years) as being compatible with my 1937, so they're at least worth measuring -- if your local store has one in stock:

    Dayton VX-6; VX-101 will work

    NAPA 25-11450 or 25-11500

    Dayco 2HB

    Gates 551

The key is the width; if they're not wide enough they sit way down into the pulley.

    Here is what I found.

    NAPA 25-11450 is now 2520451 Angle 36 degrees, Length 45.47" Width 0.624"

NAPA 25-11500 is now 2528454 Angle 36 degrees, Length 45.91" Width 0.875". This is NAPA catalog callout for a '36 Hudson Six.

    Gates 551 is now TR24449 Angle 36 degrees, Length 45.00" Width 0.750"

Gates TR24438 Angle 36 degrees, Length 43.75" Width 0.750". This is Gates catalog callout for a '36 Terraplane.

Dayco 24450 Angle 38 degrees, Length 45.00" Width 0.750". This is Dayco catalog callout for a '36 Terraplane.

    Good Luck!
