Disc brakes for a 30 sedan?

Has anyone put together a kit for the stock spindles for a 1930 hudson? If not are there spindles for a ford or chev that would go on the original axle that would have a disc kit for? Or even another axle all together that would bolt in with parrallel leafs? Budget isnt going to allow for Mustang front for a while but want disc on all 4 corners. Any advice appreciated. kyle

Check with Richard Pridemore's kits. I found they will fit my '37 with little machining but may need tweaked differently by a local machine shop for '30.(tbd)
  • i saw a guy overseas that put some mopar drums on an original essex axle. i was looking for info here a while back but didnt have much luck. i think im going to go with a tube axle to lower the car a bit and some disc brakes. i have a chevy axle the widt was right, spring centeres were right but it just didnt have enough drop. i was kind of looking to stay wth drums only much newer, hyrdraulic set up that you can still get parts for and bolt on some 5 lug steel wheels.
