A recent episode of Chasing Classic Cars ( 5-6 Dec) covers the acquistion and ultimate sale of a special built Fiat surry top car by Wayne the show's main character. As part of this show Wayne views and purchases one of the Fiats and a Davis, three wheel car. I enjoyed this show so much I watched it a second time. During the second viewing I paid closer attention to the background cars shown at one of the California car dealers warehouses. One of the cars seen was a red stepdown Hudson convertible! On an earlier episode, a 48-49 Hudson Convertible is shown in front of Wayne's garage/showroom in Ct. The car appears to be painted the same as the 48C Dave Sollen recently restored.
