Splash shields for a '54

Anyone know of the best source for decent splash shields on the front inner fender of a '54 Hornet. I expect they all rusted along the lower 1/3 of the shield, as did mine.

Try the Falk brothers in Nebraska,or Stu Coleman in Mt.
  • K Gap Has The Canvas Splash Guards That Go On The Inner Fender Panels. I Have Piles Of Inner Fender Panels. Not Too Much Of A Rust Problem Here In So Cal, Bill A.

Bill,it sounds like he is needing the vertical splash pan that bolts to the firewall and the lower outer frame horn. I knew exactly what he was talking about when he posted-since I live here in the RUST BELT. The bottom is all too often rusted off, and I don't have any extra's. I also am not sure if these are different for '54's??. This is the part that the rubber splash guard secures to then bends around to the frame. It is possible you have them also, not rusted off, of course. I figures since you did not respond to his posting that you must not have them. Short Wheel base IS diferent !! CG

These are exactly what I am looking for. I suppose I could fabricate a set, they are pretty straight forward. Anyway, having fun tearing down the front of the car. It looks funny now with the body ending abruptly and just a few frame rails and suspension extending forward. Remarkably easy job, took about 5 hours. Thank God for MAP gas!
