Hudson Hornet Rocket Symbol- where from?
I had been doing some reading on the OLDs Rocket 88 and it made me think if that is possibly how Hudson came up with the Hornet Rocket Logo... it certainly would make sense as the Olds Rocket 88 had all the publicity prior to the introduction of the Hornet. Anyone have any info on this? Just seems a bit too coincidental.

I've always wondered why Olds didn't have that rocket symbol registered as a "service mark." Aside from that, it really is curious why Hudson would have chosen that symbol after Olds had been using it for two years.0

Maybe one of the worlds first anti rocket rocket? Hudson did blow them away with the Hornet..0

Probably thought a rocket is a rocket and we have an H on ours.0

I've always thought it was a stylized hornet (bug) that came to be called a "rocket". If you look at it you can see folded-back wings and the two crossbars look like legs. Just my humble opinion.0

Yup that sounds reasonable. A chrome Hornet....0
