Revitalize old cork gaskets
I have several old, dried out cork gaskets, like the one for the water jacket cover, that have shrunken so much that they don't come close to lining up with the holes in the jacket. Can they be revitalized by soaking them in water or whatever to restore their flexibility and original dimensions, or would I be better off to get some fresh cork and cut new ones? Thanks for the assistance.

Howdy-Lay the cork gaskets in the bathtub, cover with a thin towel, and pour BOILING water over them. Soak them good. This brings them back to size OK, and works good, I've tried it.0
