The Jet uses the same hose for both top & bottom as the upper hose for the step-down. The only aftermarket number I have is Durkee-Attwood MR500 (trim to propper length

You can use these numbers for 1948 - 1954 step-downs. Upper: Cut to length (All). Gates 21794 or NAPA NBH 8484, Gates 21660 or NAPA NBH 7096 (This is a '48 Chevy lower radiator hose).

    The Durkee-Attwood MR500 is a NAPA NBH 7217 or Gates 20390.

I went to O'Reilly auto parts with the old hoses and matched them up, I of course had to trim them but looked just like the originals when installed. Part numbers that I used were gat 21660 and gat 21045. Richie.

Thanks, everyone! Is O'Reilly the same as Kragen? We have Kragen out west but no O'Reilly.
  • Any parts store should be able to get Gates brand hoses and belts. They're a very common brand.

On June 11, 2008 O'Reilly competed the acquisition of Phoenix-based CSK Auto. CSK Auto was the largest specialty retailer of automotive parts and accessories in the western U.S. and operated approximately 1,350 retail locations in 22 states under four brand names: Checker Auto Parts, Schuck’s Auto Supply, Kragen Auto Parts and Murray’s Discount Auto Stores.
