Very clean-looking car. Not sure about the 31K price, though.
  • Wow, way cool!

I thought the same thing when I saw it. It's a nice tribute, and a good looking car, but a recreation doesn't justify the price.
  • would it be capable of speeds up to 130 mph, I dont know Hudsons very well but assume a 3 spd with OD would be faster than the Hydro ??

I seem to remember reading about two brand-new Hudsons that Marshall took delivery of, then basically took 'em racing with very few modifications. One was a stick, the other had an automatic. The manual-trans car was slightly faster.

Back in those days there really weren't many mods you could do tho any of the cars - tho Ford and Chevy, especially Ford, did license a lot of special speed parts. But Chrysler and the independents didn't license a lot.

So with Hudsons there wasn't much you could do beyond shaving heads, porting and relieveing, things like that - unless you were Smoky Yunick!!!! Then it was Katy bar the door and change the rule book. :D

  • It says the car is in Las Vegas, but I was previously unaware of this one. If this car is clean with the exception of the racing decals, $31K is not out of line for what nice coupes have been going for.
