We sell a variety of different duration and lift cams. We have cam sizes that are available from stock, mild (7x) and full race application.

Cams sizes available are the following:

    1955-1956 Mechanical Cam: 372 lift, 254 duration

    Super 7X Cam: 391 lift, 268 duration

Super Street Cam: 402 lift, 276 duration

Does the "1955-1956 mechanical cam" have the same specs as the 1956 hydraulic cam? Can you still get hydraulic lifters for the'56 cam?

I have the Russ Maas Hornet 372-254 cam in my narrow block 262. It sure is sweet. Smooth idle and great pickup. It's .040 over with twin H feels like other 308's I've owned. Except it doesn't have that "hammering" sound at speed.

I also just installed one in a 308 I overhauled. it's running on a test stand and has a smooth idle. It also has the true roller chain setup he sells. I will ever use another stock chain aftter using one of those.
