Does the "1955-1956 mechanical cam" have the same specs as the 1956 hydraulic cam? Can you still get hydraulic lifters for the'56 cam?0 -
I have the Russ Maas Hornet 372-254 cam in my narrow block 262. It sure is sweet. Smooth idle and great pickup. It's .040 over with twin H feels like other 308's I've owned. Except it doesn't have that "hammering" sound at speed.
I also just installed one in a 308 I overhauled. it's running on a test stand and has a smooth idle. It also has the true roller chain setup he sells. I will ever use another stock chain aftter using one of those.0
