My "Project" wins a trophy.....
I took my 51 Hornet Coupe to the weekly So Cal Garden Grove Historical Mainstreet car show last night. I had never been there before. It was about 70 degrees in the evening and we were all walking around in t-shirts and eating pizza and beer (sorry East Coast guys but just had to mention that). There were over 200 cars and only eight trophys. Guess which one I won? "Best Project Car". Damn.... for anyone who has seen my car (my Bali blue one), I would at least consider it a strong #3. I have to say though, it garnered alot of attention with the two red twin-h aircleaners and with it being a Hudson. When the guy announced my award, he told the crowd that they were lucky to see a Hudson Hornet and that the Hudson's were outlawed in racing during the day due to their dominance... sounds a bit embellished but it made me proud being the owner. It truely felt like a great summer night cruise and was a nice evening.

Way to go Niels. It is great to get some recognition for your car and it is always good to get Hudsons out where people can see them and appreciate them. Congratulations.0

Congrats Niels! I thought it was a nice ride when I saw it at the show up in Sierra Madre. Kinda nice to have two Hudsons there.
And Richard E, your so very right, let's get them out there for others to see!0
