If we could answer that question (Why?) we would know the mind of a number of folks. I gues the easy answer is that it takes all kinds of noncreative and creative folks to make the car hobby work. I wonder if folks asked why when Jay Leno built his roadster with the big locomotive engine? Because we like it, does it make it all right?
  • I like it. I wonder how I can hook the front end of a stepdown to my 91 LeBaron Convertible......
  • It doesn't matter why, it's just gosh darned funny. It looks like a cartoon car. Maybe next he'll make a Chrysler K car into a Tucker.

    LOL -

Look in the back of any Hot-rod magazine and you'll find a small ad for these front ends ~ I always wondered 1) who would buy one? and 2) how they could afford the ad's in the magazines?

    :p
  • Thats a double bag car. Wear two paper bags when yur drivin it, then if one bag blows off they still won't recognise you.

Seems like I saw the same type of deal to make your (whatever) look like a Studebaker Starlight coupe. Harkens back to those hideous "kit cars" where you made a VW look like homemade sin. I don't get it either. I also don't get the group of 4 or so owners of PT Cruisers who come to all the local shows in our area- they have all this aftermarket junk glued onto their cars, like plastic sheet of wood trim, scallop and flame decals, billet crap, stainless cutouts of wierd stuff, etc. Each car is more ridiculous than the last. Maybe a clue is to look at the owners- each couple is Rodney Dangerfield meets Roseanne. But they seem to be having fun- or as my grandma used to say, "As happy as if they had good sense."
  • That is the only good use for '90s T-birds and Cougars. It really does make a neat little car, though. Different strokes, right?
