I saw a water pump double pulley on ebay a while back and it went for about $115, then one for about $135, no there's one going for $178. Convert your cash to double pulleys! Better yet, if you're unemployed, start making them. :D

  • I am very happy with the NOS one I bought for 100 dollars.

One thing to remember, the Hudson waterpump double pulleys are meant to align with a double grove harmonic balancer pulley. The waterpump mounting flange on engines originally equipped with single grove harmonic balancer is not set properly to accept a dual pulley and must be reset for belts to align properly.

I bought a 55 Hudson just because of the double pulley. Total sum of $150. The car had some cool stuff on it other than that.

All you need to do is put 1/8" thick washers behind the pulley and it will be in line with harmonic ballencer pulley. :)

There are also two different double pulley harmanic balancers. 54 and 55? I sold one of each to Mr Pridemore at pigeon Forge. He showed me that they were different, but I don't think either one of us knew which was which. I have one waterpump double pulley. maybe it would finance my trip to Pontiac? LOL

Yeah, I bid on that one for $46.00, I think, then didn't go back to check on it at the end. Don't think I missed anything.

I bought one from Jim Harmon a few years back and he sent me two different ones that had different depths. He told me to pick the one that worked. He didn't know the difference between the two, and of course, neither did I. I think I paid around $35.00 for it then. I figured they hadn't gone up that much in a few years, but it looks as though I might be mistaken. I still need one, but if that's what they go for, I might be making my own.

Mine is installed using that method.
