floor pan removal on 53 hornet

can the middle floor pan be removed with the front seat in place? it looks like i have little room to get it out. thanks, hr

Yes, but if you are removing the pan to remove the transmission, the seat has to come out to accomplish that task.0

Take the cushion out and move the seat all the way back0

thanks, at least i know it can be done. i unbolted the pan when i started to remove the master cyl for the rebuild. it looked like there wasn't going to be enough room so i aborted the mission and went with plan "b"- lay on my back and crawl in and out. i didn't even see how to let the seat back but i didn't look too long. the master cyl is done and back in but i still may want to remove pan for when i install engine and tranny. for now i am going to install a inline chevy six and 3 speed w/od to get her moving.0

we'll see how it goes. i want to do it where i can switch it back to a flathead eventually.0
