can the middle floor pan be removed with the front seat in place? it looks like i have little room to get it out. thanks, hr

  • Yes, but if you are removing the pan to remove the transmission, the seat has to come out to accomplish that task.
  • Take the cushion out and move the seat all the way back

thanks, at least i know it can be done. i unbolted the pan when i started to remove the master cyl for the rebuild. it looked like there wasn't going to be enough room so i aborted the mission and went with plan "b"- lay on my back and crawl in and out. i didn't even see how to let the seat back but i didn't look too long. the master cyl is done and back in but i still may want to remove pan for when i install engine and tranny. for now i am going to install a inline chevy six and 3 speed w/od to get her moving.
