need help

HI gang i have two 1946 hudson a car and a truck. i need two radiator caps .i am told that thay don"t make them any more. thay have about a two in. deep neck.48 and up have a one in.neck .if some one has a couple laying around and want to git them out of ther way i would like to buy them .if not it is to the radiator shop and cut the neck off and put a new neck .any thoughts?

Have you tried a place like NAPA? You might be surprised at what they can get hold of. I lost a gas cap on my '37 Terraplane once, and they had one in stock. Another thought would be to phone Dave Kostansek, he has a lot of parts like that (he's listed in the roster and also advertises in the WTN).
