carb problems?

Is it normal that the carter c4 carb on my 57 hornet pours gas out onto the heat riser of the intake when the engine is shut off, and when it is turned over but not cranked? how am i supposed to fix that if it isn't?

Better get that carburetor rebuild quick. Your needle and seat is not shutting the gas pressure off. The next thing can be a big fire under the hood and that will cost 1.000 times more to repair than now. Walt.
