Spark Problems?
have a 1951 Hudson Pacemaker with a 232 inline 6 and i cant get any spark. I checked with a test light, I have "juice" at both sides of coil, out of the coil, in the distributor, I checked cap and rotor, brand new plugs and wires, so everywhere I should except coming out of the wires. It's not making sense to me, if anone has any other thoughts leave the info-thx

It may be that the points have a film on them and not makeing contact. Clean the points and adjust to .020. Turn engine till points are closed. Hold the coil wire (from coil to center post on dist. cap) about 3/8 inch from a good ground and points with a screw driver. Should get a spark. If so trouble has to be in the cap or rotor0

Do as Billy says, and if still no spark, check to make sure the points are not grounding to the advance plate or the distributor body.
