1947 Super-Six Convertible- Value?

We have a 1947 Super-Six Convertible that my dad parked in a leaky barn in 1958. It was stolen this fall and we recovered it. But the whole experience make me realize that we need to get rid of it, and get it into the hands of somebody who would restore the car. It is mostly all there. lots of surface rust, but much of the metal seems sound. Does not look to bad underneath the car. Any help establishing a value would be appreciated. Anyone interested, I have lots of pictures.

It is worth what you want for it. I know that is very vague, but it is true. The auto market is not what it was a few years ago- expendible income is not readily available to a lot of folks like it used to be. Another problem with prices is Barrett Jackson. Everyone sees a Hudson go across the auction block and says "Mine is/could look like that one" and believe that his or her vehicle is worth that amount of money. BJ is a joke. It is a place for people with inflated heads to buy cars with inflated prices. Sorry about the rant. Bottom line is this- ask a price and you'll know if your too high if you don't get any bites!

Somewhere between $5500 and $7800 to me. Would cost between 30,000 and 40,000 to restore it right. Wouldn't appraise much more than the numberes combined when done.

Wonder if Jeff is still looking for a title for a Hudson convertible or does the relative who recovered the car now need the title??????



Since the car is... now otta the barn... is it technically not a ... barn find? Does this make the car less or more valuable?

Luckily we have the title. As for the crazy details of how it was stolen and how we got it back, first we have to let the legal stuff run its course, and then I promise I will post the whole story. Thanks again.
