  • Yes they do exist, i could find the number but need to do some dig'n
  • I sure could use em. If it weren't for carpet and duct tape, my car would be like Fred Flintstone's. :-)

  • I'll look for the number tomorrow
  • Well, as I heard said "if the women don't find ya handsome at least they'll find ya handy".

    Have you seen this thread?

These were made by bentmetal and are made for a stepdown. Is that what you are looking for?
  • You can find them on e-bay. About 60 bucks each side. I bought a set, haven't put them in yet but they will do the trick.

Can you post a picture of the floor pans you bought? I would like to see what $120.00 will get him. I was charging $200. a side for the ones pictured in the link above.

I think the 1948's had no ribs, like this picture. I have a set, already made minus the mounting holes for the trans cover and drain hole. They are obveously less work then the ones with ribs and all of the details that I put into the ones pictured in the above link. I would like to sell these for $100. a side, if your interested. Plus shipping. Although they are more money than the e-bay floor pans, they are the same thickness as original. The e-bay floors are real thin. Mine also look like the originals with the beading and a radiused (not folded) transition to the toe board.

If you want the detailed set they are available through K-Gap, made to order however you want. To the best of my knowledge these are your only options, aside from making them yourself.

Heck - I'm just going to start farming all my metal work out to Perry, his work makes mine look amatuerish :o

I wish one of my Hudsons needed floorboards just so I could buy this set before you quit making them ;)

Thanks for the compliment Dan, I think your metal work is really great too. I'm ready to see some more pictures of it!:D

Your comment about buying before I quit making them. ...hmm, your very insightful. ;) Lets just say I have no plans on making any inventory, more then the two sets I already have.

I just hope that anyone that does use the e-bay floors pop rivets them in so that when it's redone it won't be so hard to rip um' out. If you don't buy from me then this would be a perfect time to try a first time metal project. Seriously, why not?

Okay, I've said all I wanna' say on this subject both here and in the thread listed above. I'm ready to move on.:)
  • I'm finally getting mine installed next Saturday. As far as I'm concerned, they will patch up the holes, be covered with insulation and carpeting and job done.
