Help with aftermarket turn signal

Does anyone have one of these turn signal switches and still able to find any of the paperwork? It was a very common item for many years. Note the "d a" initials just "below" the green indicator lights, and the Toronto, Canada inscription. I've got this one on my '47 and am in urgent need of a wiring diagram for it, to save a lot of time tracing circuits. Or at least some hint of who the manufacturer is. I've googled myself out so far. Help!

  • This is the one I have a 7 wire unit. I have the instruction sheet if you need the wire color placement if this does not show. Ron

Ron, thanks very much for the info. Just about as good as diagram, really. A complicating factor on my car is that the installer switched to all wires of the same color at a point down below the dash. So at the wire bundle out under the hood it's anyone's guess! But I can now do some continuity checking and hopefully identify where my "mystery wire" goes.
