For those of you who knew him I got word this afternoon that HET/Mid-South Chapter member Cloyd Steiner passed away yesterday (Thursday) from cancer.

Cloyd had been ill for several years.

He had been a member of HET for some 10 or 12 years.

At the moment plans are for services to be held in Ackerman, MS, on Wed afternoon.

If you wish to send cards to his wife, Betty, and the family:

Betty Steiner

11500 MS Highway 12

Ackerman, MS 39735-9557

Hudsonly,

Alex Burr

Memphis, TN

Very sad news. I remember when he was a "regular" on the Hudson chatroom and I enjoyed meeting him and his son.

It was good of you to keep up with him and visit him, during his illness.

I met Cloyd on several occasions & he was a lot of fun - he had a Hash & he took my teasing him about it with relish.

He must have moved south as when I met him I'm sure he lived in Mt.
  • Yeah He moved to MS several years ago. I never got to meet Cloyd but I corresponded with him thru e-mail and here on the forums since before the move. I will miss Him. My prayers and thoughts go out to Betty.

  • I never knew him but it seems to me that everyone in the Hudson club with very few exceptions is just like family
I'm sure he will be missed by many.

Please except the condolences and prayers from my family.

God bless all who are effected personally by his passing.

I rcvd a phone call from Betty Steiner. Funeral services will be held at the Enon Presbytarian Church which is on Highway 12 in Ackerman, MS, at 2PM Wed.

The church is located just east of MS Route 15 on the right as you are headed east toward Starkville.
