last part I need for my front suspension on my 1941 hudson pickup is the center steering bearing. It is a sealed unit, not like the seperate roller bearings like stepdowns have. do you know where I can get a new one or a good replacement?? thanks!!

Remove the front crank pulley, drop the tie rods and the center bolt will lift out from the top, then remove the housing assembly and you will need a good machine shop to make a new pin and they can get the needle bearings to press into the housing. Drill and tap for a grease fitting and you are set for life. Walt.

thanks Walt!! so you are saying the center bearing bolt or "pin" for a stepdown will not fit with the stepdown seperate roller bearings on my 41 arm??

It's a much smaller unit and the center pin is a stainless steel bolt. Do what I said and keep it greased. Walt.
