I sent him a message that those skirts are for a Super Series car. The upper trim clips won't work with a Commodore or Hornet trim. Not hard to modify though.:D0 -
He has NOS 124" WB rockers too! Too rich for my blood though...0

The rockers started out at $ 100.00 for the pair with one bit at the opening figure. Bidder #2 came along and upped the bit to $ 600.00. How smart is that ? ? ?

That means bidder #1 had a maximum bid of $575 its a little odd he knew to bid $600 usually it takes a couple of bids as the system registers your first bid then hits number 1's maximum bid.0

The reserve might have been $600.000

Yes, it IS odd.0 -
Seller has $600 reserve- doesn't want to fool with 17 bids ending up at $400 and a "no sale", so has a friend do an opening bid of $100 with max of $599, so all later bidders will be weeded out unless their max goes above $599. If anybody bites, they'll get if for the minimum the seller was willing to take, and any bids above are gravy. Kind of a roundabout way of separating the real buyers from the bottom feeders.0

Now Mike....be kind to us bottom feeders....LOL0

Yet another example of why I  Ebay -
Shill bidders driving the price up only to "weed" people out (not legal by Ebay's provisions) or fishing only to see what the reserve is.0 -
But the seller is still responsible for paying e-bay their cut. If a seller does that too many times (unless they have a reserve), they loose money on the deal. If you have a friend bid, I think it would be more effective to let them continuously "outbid" the guy who is bidding. Folks make irrational decisions in the heat of outbiding some other guy. It gives the illusion that someone thinks it is worth that amount. I love e-Bay for the most part. I have never had a bad experience (although I only buy Hudson parts).0

So how much did the rockers end up going for?0
