right, wrong seat color, but overall a pretty authentic restoration sans the Hornet engine (wonder if they put an 8 radiator in it?).0

will have to see where this auction goes.. radio delete plate missing and covered with some kind of stick-on stainless or chrome thin sheet trimed to fit entire lower center dash area. wiper knob repro, clock knob gone, clock face has its paint behind the numbers missing, also paint behind speedo numbers missing, this is easy to wipe off with cleaner when restoring dask panels. paint is a pinkish-beige color, would be hard to match, plus needs to be translucent. should repaint the chromed parts (nose emblem, horn button, etc.) to make look original/nice. not really cutting it down, just a few small, cheap detail and finish items would help sale price out. I'm a nut about factory finishes, so this being a 41, my favorite truck, had to pick a little...got an original 1941 motor and trans out of a 1941 hudson pickup if anyone needs one......hey rick, you always seem to resource these hudson sales so well, like your keeping a sales history book on all hudsons! great job of making these forums more interesting!!! oh, aand the 41 bigboy's also had a woodgrained dash..0
-
your gonna be right on the last bid I bet! if it hits $17,000 I'd be suprised. market soft latley, poor fit and finish on truck (look at grill/hood alignment, looks wrecked at one time). barrett jackson chest beating bids will always be high compaired to real market.0
-
Market is pretty soft right now. Only people shopping are those looking for deals and they are not going to be spending 30K on a 41 pickup.0

Its back with a BIN of 44.5K I wonder how quick that will be snapped up.

Is it my imagination or are the hood supports mounted backwards?. I would think these would rattle to beat the band?.:eek:0

Yep. Sure backwards from the later models.0 -
I really like the custom truck also. Looks of good quality and very tastefully done. Would love to have it.0
-
I like it also for the most part. The dash is not quite what I would want but everything was done very well. I would really like to have that extra cab room too.0

And the original truck that started this thread is back on ebay:

With a buy it now of $44,500?!?
Lemme think about this, it sold at BJ in a better market for $36k, didn't get past $16k on ebay a week ago, and they think they can get $44 for it?
Not from me.0 -
Reposting these vehicles is done in the hope that the person who has the money didn't see it the first time but is out there now. I have seen vehicles posted 10 times and the more they are posted the worse they do. You get sale rot where people see it over and over again and do not buy. The Silver 46 coupe is an example the more times it was posted the worse the bidding got. Should have just taken the highest bid and be done with it. Same with this truck for 44.5K that truck needs to be pristine as its way on the top end of the value even in this shape. If you look at the bed the paint is starting to flake next to the wheel wells so who knows whats under that paint. 22K he might get a buyer.
Though after a while I get used to seeing the same vehicle posted over and over and I root for them I really do I say to my screen you go my little over priced truck you go........0 -
Doesn't cost to rerun an ad, plus if it's a no-sale, you don't pay. So, they run over and over again. Starting out with a BIN or a reserve that is waaay too high, the buyer then gauges the interest that way...for free! I don't do egay these days. Not worth the time.0

Those trucks already have too little cab space to chop the top of em. If you're taller than 5' 5" you know what I'm talking about. LOL0
