I'm posting this for Russell ..
Dan-

Can you post these on the forum? Mike from Bill and Charlie's sent them to me to post, but for some reason, my computer doesn't recognize the format (even though they are JPEG). Maybe because they are compressed . . . Anyway, my "Fast Image Resizer" won't do it. He's trying to get help in identifying these parts and any information he can obtain about the "Utah" tag.

    300272

Probably why no one has helped on this, is there's not much to offer.

300272 is from a LHD auto, and was used on pretty much everything that came with a 6-cylinder and single carb (at least from '48-'54).

307049 is not in the Master Parts Catalog.

As far as the "Utah" tag, it was probably just a reference tag for whomever removed the manifold from it's block.

Looks like a common manifold and common carburetor.

I guess the real mystery is where is the Clifford Head? ;)
  • Check with the UTAH bunch... could be that the folks purchased an engine from Glen or Robert Johnson or Galloping Gert etc. UTAH conotes the possibilty albeit a stretch ... that the CLIFFORD HEAD 56 engine was destined for the Salt Flats???? More than likely an engine that was gathered from one of the HETers in UTAH and the intake found its way back east... rambling on for effect here in the HOT.
