Reinstall on 36T front springs advice needed.
Hey all,
I had to pull my front axle due to it being bent. I decided to pull the front springs to clean them up, check out and paint. According to the mech proc manual you need the 'proper spacer' when you reinstall them. Any ideas on what would work for this? Or what the measurement might be?
Thanks as always!

I just put mine back in the way they came out and everything seems fine? I had made the mistake of having mine re-arched and eventually I had to take them into a spring shop and have them rearched back to where they were. It is pretty straight forward.0

I also put in my front springs with no problem keeping the caster shims to the rear. I drilled each leaf ends to insert nylon sliders that smoothen the ride and eliminate squeeking.0

Sounds like you're referring to the spacing of the shackles relative to the eye of the spring. I believe there's a figure in the book on that. I recall when I assembled mine, I had a big crescent wrench with a jaw thickness matching that spacing for the shackles, so just used it as a guide, like the book shows for Hudson's special tool for this purpose.0

Yes Park that is correct. Sounds like a good idea. The front of the spring wasnt a problem but the back one wants to get tight and bind up.
Thanks,
