horn relay for 37-T which wires go where
Just received in a horn relay from Dave Kostansek. Its generic and fits 34-57.
there are 3 terminals on the relay marked 1 3 and 5. the 1 and 5 are on the ends and up in the corners (right and left) and the 3 is smack in the center
i know i have to hook up:
A) the (hot) negative from the starter soleniod
the ground from the horn button
C) a wire running over to the horn(s) (will be the hot out)
QUESTION can anyone tell me which wires go where
Thanks in advance guys!!!!!!

The wiring diagram in the Mechanical Procedures Manual shows the terminals on the top of the relay. The center terminal (your A) is the hot terminal, wired to the starter solenoid. The right-hand terminal (your C) goes to the horns, the left-hand terminal (your
goes to the horn button.
The wiring diagram in the Owner's Manual shows the same.
I hope this helps,

The middle terminal is the battery.
One of the outside terminals goes to the horn itself.
The other outside terminal goes to the horn button, where it grounds when the button's depressed. This activates the "horn" terminal.
So.... in a "normal" (non-activated, "at rest") condition, the "horn button" terminal would be getting power from the center (batt) terminal, and would then trigger the "horn" terminal when button is pressed.
Thus.... if you clip a continuity tester to the middle (batt) terminal and touch the "horn button" terminal with the prod, you should light the light. If you touch the "horn" terminal, nothing will happen (because the horn button must be depressed to send power to the "horn" terminal).
And so, you will have your answer as to which is which, through the miracle of space-age electronics!
Or at least that's how I think it works!0
