Electric hand removal

Stupid question but how do I remove the electric hand from the steering shaft on my 36 Terraplane?

The rounded back must come off, but is it screwed on or just a press fit.

    The rounded left-hand end piece is threaded on. Isn't there a pair of slightly indented flat spots on that piece, so you can put a large wrench on it? If not, try a common rubber kitchen gadget for getting jar lids off. Inside that end piece there's a nut that holds the main housing to the steering column.

    You're also gonna find a whole mess of wires that you will want to mark/identify where they go on the plug {mark this also}at the bottom of the column so you can pull them out and get them back where they belong. BUD

    Thank you for the info guys. The electric hand will not be functional on my car, all of the transmision parts were gone when I got the carl, but I am planing on cleaning it up and having it in the car for show.
