1928 Hudson Radiator Cap..or not

Hi everybody...hoping someone can tell us if this cap does belong to a 1928 Hudson Landau..found it in our shop attic while pulling out parts for our '53 Ford Truck Kris is restoring. I did find a patent for it dated 10-30-1928 by FC Rupple-hope someone can help !

    You have possession of Icarus, who flew too close to the sun, the wax holding his feathers on his wings melted and he fell to earth.

    This is a 1928 Hudson radiator ornament, and seen on a lot of 29's also.
