paint gas tank
Hello,
I just had my 48's gas tank cleaned out and sealed at a local radiator shop. I've coated the exterior with rust neutralizer and now want to paint it. I'm thinking black, but wanted to know if it should be flat or gloss. Or should I just use some black rubberized undercoating? This is not going to be a show car, but I'd still like it to look good.
Thanks for your help.

Go to Lowe's and purchase "Cold Galvanizing" spray paint; works great, a light gray, flat paint.0

if it were mine i would use the spray can rubber undercoating. used that on rocker panels on a t-bird many years ago and its stlll good. applied color on top of it for appearance. remains somewhat soft and seems to stick well...0

Thanks for the advice guys. I used 3M rubberized undercoating and so far it looks very slick.
