The 1937 Hudson is well on its way to being rewired by Essex4.

Lots of hours in prepration and execution. Note in top of pic the woven black loom covering. The '37s do not have a color code in the wiring diagram so the colors of a stepdown are being used.

On the drivers side of the car , below the speedo cable, we used a hole saw to enlarge a place for the wiring to go thru the cowl support. By running thru here it is neater for the two wire looms and the armored headlight cables.

That really looks nice. With the English Hudson we left enough wire so we could take it down into the frame and hide it. I think in a way, my wiring turned out better because I could not purchase a wire harness that would work for the car. It allowed me to do a few things like add turn signals, heater/defroster and such. I need to snap a few photo's when I get a minute.

Just wish to report the rewiring is completed. Essex4 can do the job!

The lights, horn , turn signals, dash lights , fog lights, everything works.

There were seveal fires waiting to happen in the old wiring and one serious melted light harness. If you car has old wires it should be on your soon to do list.

The test drive went well , and I treated Essex4 to a big all you can eat BBQ Ribs dinner.

Sheldon, you just know that very shortly somebody is going to come up with a wiring diagram with the wires color coded. :D LOL

Neat looking job - yes, safety is a BIG factor.
