55 overdrive tranny

I am using a 55 308 in my 52 Hollywood. Does the 3 speed overdrive that was originally attached to the 55 have any value, or is it just a big anchor?. Will it work on a Nash or V8 Hudson?

    Would that be a manual 3 speed OD?

    Sure would love to put one in my 36! An overdrive would be very nice but dont know if it would work.

    It is, but it is set up for a torque tube, not a standard drive shaft. I have been told it is too much trouble to covert, or I would be using it.

    I would like to have it i have a over drive 57 i could use it in if it's a good trans it will not fit in a step/down and it is a dubble leaver just were are you at ?? And how much for the trans ?

    Are you saying this will fit a V8? I believe it is a good trans. The car was on the road until it blew a head gasket. I pulled the motor to use in my 52. Put a new gasket on, and fired it up. I am currently swapping out the motor mounts and oil pan. Still looking for a decent trans to mount back on.
