Interior Sun Visors

I am looking at replacing the interior sun visors in my '53 Super Wasp Sedan. My originals just don't cut it next to my new headliner. Has anyone had luck finding replaceents that fit the original visor rods? A quick look on EBAY looks like maybe ones from mid 50's Chevy would work. What have you guys done in the past. Custom made new ones just from an upholstery shop just sound expensive.

Decent visors should be available from the numerous vendors of Hudson parts. If you have material remaining from your headliner, you can recover the visors either yourself or have it done professionally. This is what I did.

Rich, How many do you need? Also do you want Super or Commodore/Hornet?

    Lance,

I am not sure which models are the same, but here is a picture of mine from my Super Wasp. I was hoping not to have to recover these, but these are recoverable. However, If you have a set of clamps, rods and bolts with good chrome I would be interested in those.

  • Rich,

I have a set of the brackets with rechromed rods, acorns, dome screws, etc. I would even buy your old cores. Get in touch at GMC46golden@aol.com. Thanks, Glen
