gas tank pickup line

The intake tube at the top of the tank on my Hornet ends in a threaded connection with a flare nut. I'd like to replace the flare nut with an elbow to avoid a sharp bend in the line leaving the flare nut. Does anyone know what kind of an elbow could be used at this location?
Thanks

Ed, The only thing I can think of is to try a plumbing supply, or a hardware store. I know what you are talking about. If I'm not mistaken I cut my line and put in an electric pump. If You do this (cut the line) You have to run a ground wire from the tank to the body to achieve a ground so the gauge will work.

PS..Just had a thought try a welding supply. If I remember correctly some of their fittings look similar...wishing you luck...0 -
Are you worried about buggering it up when wrenching on it, or for flow?
I believe Speedway Motors (www.speedwaymotors.com) carries a selection of 45° reverse flare fittings.0 -
You should be able to get all the fittings you need from Ace Hdwe., or what ever you've got near you if it's a GOOD hdwe store.0

I simply ran a one piece 5/16" fuel line which I bent with a tube bender, which gave it a broad 90 deg. curve. Instead of fittings I secure it in the bracket with grommets.0

Thanks for all the suggestions. Here's my final configuration:
Short peice of 5/16" brake line using the original tapered flare nut. Then an adapter for 5/16" compression to 1/8" pipe thread. Then a 1/8" npt elbow to make the 90 degree turn. This is a little more "Rube Goldberg" than I would have wanted but it works.
Again thaks to all for the input.

Hey Ed,
I have been working on re doing a fuel return line on my 36T and got all my fittings from www.McMaster Carr.com. They carry EVERYTHING!
Good luck,
