GAS TANK DRAIN PLUG

I HAVE 54 HUDSON WASP AND IT APPEARS TO HAVE A DRAIN PLUG

IF IT IS A PLUG I CAN'T FIND AN ALLEN WRENCH THAT FITS IT....COULD IT ME THAT IT TAKES A SOCKET WRENCH EXTENSION? IF SO WHAT SIZE

    You can use a 3/8 short extension but you need to grind the male end to fit the inside of gas tank drain plug . Ray

    If you happen to have a metal lathe and some cutting tool steel. There is probably a piece there the right size ,then put a wrench on it.

    Take care when removing this plug as one can twist the plug brazing completely out of the tank? Learned this the hard way!

    Yep been there done that. Turned into the Niagara Falls of stale gas. Nasty.
