They are simple to restore. Just strip it down, tape off the parts that are not gold and with a rattle can paint. Then remove remove the tape and paint the rest.0

I bought a NOS clear button a year ago. Pretty neat piece. Do not think I will paint it though. Put it on display with some other HET memorabilia.0

THE BEST WAY TO CLEAN OFF ALL THE OLD PAINT IS BRAKE FULID AND Q TIPS THE BRAKE FULID GETS AFTER THE PAINT THEN CLEAN OFF ALL THE BRAKE FULID AND THEN AS BROWNIE SAID PAINT0
