12-volt starter re-wire needed.
A friend with a '53 Wasp that's converted to 12-volts, just broke his 6-volt starter nose cone.
Can someone please suggest an electrical shop that rewires 6-volt starters for 12 volts? And, come to think of it, he'll need a rebuild-able starter as well. ("Nosecone" starters are all for automatics, aren't they? Forgive me for my ignorance, I drive a prehistoric Terraplane....)
The friend is in New Jersey, if there are any shops located in that state.

Jon, I have hydramatic starters if he needs one.0

Thanks, Lance, I'll tell my friend. Since the starter would be re-wired for 12-volts, he won't need a rebuilt (6-volt) one, just a nice looking core. (I guess!) I'll pass along your name to him.0
