Isn’t it just missing the dual outlet piece that bolts to that one?

The engine picture shown is different than the one at Darlington when I visited there in the 1990s. A HET Chapter provided that engine as a display example. "I Spy" view shown it is fair to say the engine is equipped with a thick cylinder head, I would guess to be a Clifford aluminum head. Clifford's head was not available when Smoky was making HUDSON I6 engines the terror of NASCAR tracks. I doubt I will ever see the displays there again... but it is refreshing to know the public still gets to view an example engine.

It does not look like a Clifford head as it has the thick ribs around the outside and across the head. It looks to be a factory aluminum head but possibly one made specially for NASCAR?

I don't think The 7X has the thermostatic control thing in the exhaust.
