Private messaging is currently not functioning

I'm not sure that I will be able to fix this , it seems as if that part of the forum has moved into the "pay us for" arena.

I will try and come up with a solution but don't hold your breath ..

    A couple of weeks ago I sent a few PM messages but received no replies. I figured the other party was either ignoring me (can't really blame them!) or unaware of the messages. Now there's a third possibility. Who knows...?

    Yep , I see you starting a conversation with @schillaz on the 13th September and then the two of you pinged messages back up until the 20th September. You then sent him a message on the 12th and 13th October but no response back from him since then.

    He's not actually been on the site since the 29th September

    We need a new example of how to send and receive a private message using this new software.

    I just tried to send a PM to Paul as a test and couldn't.

    II replied using the PM at 5:34

    I sent you a PM at 5:36

    Everything seems to be working now.

    Okay , I think I understand what may be happening here and it's down to the new software expecting different permission levels to the old so I'll try some tweaks!

    Paul—-Still not working, If I double click on a member within an existing thread, his profile pops up, I select “Message”, the message pop-up window appears, I write the message, select “Send”, and a screen with a crossed out pumpkin face and failure message appears.

    Just tried to PM Donald, and it didn't work.
