How many grease zerks on a 49?

Since Walmart only charges $6 for a chassis lube I figured better them than me. When I asked how many zerks were greased he said 16. Owners manual uses the term "points" and when adding all the grease "points" I come up with 29.

So, how many?

Off the top of my head, seven on each side of the front suspension, seven on the steering, four on the driveshaft. two on each side for rear shackles, one for the throwout bearing, and there might be one on the clutch and brake pedal. I think I'm up to 30

30 sounds more like it than the 16 they found yesterday. Took the 47 in today for the same service and they found 25 on it. The manager told me the tech yesterday did not grease any steering-related points on the 49 so if they missed 7 there, they must have missed a few others too.

Pretty easy to miss them. I photocopied a lube diagram from my manual onto a A3 sheet laminated...I just tick off the completed till done...as I kept missing mine slot cheers ken

You might want to look around for an old Chek-Chart. These were sealed in clear plastic, so any oil or grease was easily cleaned off.
