Fuel pump for 1936 8 cylinder Railton
Working on the fuel system on my 1936 Railton. Looks like someone installed a high pressure electric fuel pump at the tank and it runs through the mechanical fuel pump which may not be working. Thinking I want to restore it back to the original condition and get a working mechanical fuel pump or rebuilt the one I have. Does anyone have a source for one?
Also found two pickups coming from the tank.. Not sure why but they both end up at a fuel filter in the engine compartment. Not sure if it is related to the switch under the dash that adds more fuel to the carborator in the event of a vapor lock. Any help with these issues would be appreciated.

Aha , does the fuel filter look like this?
If so, the smaller 1/4" line is a fuel return line to the gas tank, to help prevent vapor lock. Are you looking to rebuild your mechanical pump? I can rebuild it with a modern ethanol resistant kit (new diaphragm and check valves). If you suspect your old mechanical pump is leaking gas, DON'T run the electric pump through it! It will leak gas into the crankcase and dilute the engine oil, not to mention a possible fire/ explosion hazard.

Is this the type of pump you currently have?
