Interest in Hydramatic-to-TH400 adapter?

Current shenanigans involve developing a conversion for those with a hydramatic to use the hydro (modified) bellhousing with an adapter plate and a modified torus/flexplate to run a TH400 transmission. TH400 has to have the bell cut-off and the hydro bell needs machining at both ends, nothing crazy. Flexplate adapter is still in the works at the moment. I'll upload pics when I get a chance.

Thanks!

I think Dany Spring has what you need.

Thanks Dan, as far as I know this is different than any other adapter I'm aware of. Props to to whomever modded the TH400 I have now, I'm just trying to improve and maybe provide those with the means a decent transmission adapter kit. It's probably 6-to1, half-dozen-the-other as far as adapters go. But this doesn't need a big thick adapter plate between the transmission and engine. I can make no price comparisons now though. Stock starter position and starter is a plus, most likely.

Once upon a time, Randy Maas did them this way.

Currently, this requires 3 custom parts. Adapter plate between trans and bell housing, a custom flexplate and crank adapter. It requires machining to the bellhousing and cutting the gear ring off of the torus plate. The flexplate/torus plate mods are currently in the works... Just modding the torus will make the torque converter-to-crank connection too rigid without significant work. Lots of stress on the transmission pump with just a bit of misalignment.
