1933 6 cyl carb linkage
The carb linkage geometry on my ‘33 Essex Terraplane Six results in a less than smooth accelerator pedal. I will attach a pic. I would appreciate a pic of what the linkage should look like at the carb. Currently it requires a big push of the pedal to get it off idle.

Sadly I do not know how to resuze a pic to accommodate this site. If someone is able to post a pic of their linkage that would be helpful to me.
thank you

Anyone with a 1933 that can post a picture of their linkage? It would be greatly appreciated. I think it is similar, if not identical to ‘34 and ‘35 throttle linkages.
Thank you.

Thank you!
I suspected the previous owner/restorer fabricated parts (which I don’t understand as original parts can be found). I see now he fabricated them incorrectly so as to create angles of action that keep the linkage from giving smooth accelerator pedal action.

What is the function of the pipe attached to the air box/ intake manifold in your picture. I have only seen that port capped off.

Likely for a vacuum gauge

Vacuum clutch?

That is a big pipe. For either of those possibilities , why run the pipe forward?

Vacuum clutch. The tubing has to come across the top of the engine for that angle.
