Need to add oil tube from a parts engine as machine shop hot-tanked and removed tube from engine I am rebuilding - tried strap wrench w/o success on removing old one - do I need to use heat or dry ice to break bond from parts engine? Gert

I would heat the block to break the bond loose first. If you have the oil pan off, I would think you could drive it out from underneath with a seal driver. I had the same occur when I had my block machined. They recommended a little red Loctite on the tube before installing and driving it back in.

Thanks ratlee2 unfortunately you cannot get to it with the oil pan removed and block upside down - there is a casting in the way and also the machined hole for the tube narrows down so cannot knock it out. Gert
