Dual-Range Hydramatic paint color verification
Hello all,
With my freshly-rebuilt transmission due back from the shop next week, I would like to verify the color it should be painted. It will live behind a 308, which I understand needs to be NAPA's Cadillac Gold. Does the tranny get the gold treatment also? I don't think the Chevy Orange is correct. Thanks!

I would be very interested to know who rebuilt your dual range HydraMatic. There aren't many people left who know how these things went together. Mucho $$$$$ ?0

1951-53 should be gold, 1954 is red. For rebuild, check roster for A.J. (Gus) Sousa. He does excellent rebuild at fair price. He is in W. Chicago area.0

TomA, the company rebuilding my trans is Durabild Transmissions in Nashua, NH. It is being reassembled as I write this, and will be completed next week. I'll post back how it turned out after I drive it (May-hopefully). Mike Bergeron0
