This 34 Coupe is currently listed on Ebay with a $3100 starting bid. Is this guy for real?

  • Maybe Jimmy Hoffa is in the trunk or the car has 3 grand worth of gold in the trunk. I saw this and after reading the ad with it started laughing my ass off.
  • I'm sure there's a mistake. The seller had to have meant the starting bid was $31.00

    Or perhaps $3.10. :D
  • Maybe thirty-one cents? Scrapisn't bringing squat these days. There might be ten bucks there, tops!

But, wait! It's a coupe, so it has to be $3,100!!!

That's funny, right there. You never know. The '32-'34 F***s have really become a rich man's car, these days. I've known of a couple different instances where one door from a '34 3w coupe that sold for $800.00. ONE DOOR! Also, there was a used '32 F*** Pines Winterfront grill insert that sold for $2500. There's a fella here in TX that has it on his car.

People hear stuff like this and think they have gold out on the back forty. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Keep in mind, something is worth whatever someone else is willing to pay for it.

That being said, I wonder about these kinds of ads. I mean, really, if the guy who is selling was really soliciting a multi-thousand dollar transaction for a rusty old hull that's been sitting in his field for half-a-century, wouldn't you at least haul it up to the house, put it on some sawhorses, clean it up a little, mention whether or not there's a frame. Presentation goes a long way. I hope someone offers him $300.00. That's better than the price for scrap, and he'd have 300 more than he had before for doing nothing but snapping a picture and listing a free ad.

been thinking about planting some roses in the front of the shop. If I could get it for $3.10 I might use it as the center part of the flower garden. I did that with a 1923 F*** roadster a few years back and a fellow came by and gave me $400.00 for it including the daisies. I helped him load it on his trailer and smiled as he drove away. Just about paid for new tires on the Hudson....:)

I did that about five years ago with a 1922 F*** roadster and a fellow stopped by and bought it for $400.00 including the daisies. I helped him load it on his trailer and laughed as he drove away. :)
  • Maybe the price was set before he moved it and found out that the front end and drive train crumbled into dust and the interior blew away.
  • i have one that i bought for 75 bucks and it is in a lot better shape than that this guy must be crazy
