Neils, You're drinking too much Tuborg. It was Norway that had the Vikings . The Danes had Victor Borge .Norway had Eric the Red!!

Tuborg? Nahhh, it's Carlsberg, brewed and bottled in Denmark! I seem to have heard of Norway... ahh yes, they had a guy named "Eric in Red". Apparently he was the first hair dresser in the New World. I hate to admit it but my Grandfather was half Norwegian!
  • It seems that other forum members and Ebay have certainly taken action. This group effort is having some result. I received this email from Ebay this morning.

Our records indicate that you recently sent an email to or received an email from undergroundr32 through the eBay email system (for example, you may have sent an email to this member through Ask Seller a Question or received an email from this member through Contact eBay Member).

Sometimes eBay accounts are used to send email solicitations for transactions outside of eBay, or to send unrelated questions in hopes that you will respond so that the other party can obtain your email address. We wanted you to be aware of the potential fraud risk these solicitations pose and encourage you to be cautious about the email you received from this member.

Please keep in mind, sales that take place outside of eBay are not eligible for any eBay or PayPal protective services and you run the risk of losing your money or your item if you complete these transactions. We would encourage you to review the eBay pages related to Fraud Protection at the address provided below for information on steps you can take to ensure that your transactions are successful:

If you have already sent the item or sent payment for the item, please reply to this email and we will send you additional information about how to protect yourself.

  • Ken, I was almost the victim of Sargeant Chris Thomas's 52 Hudson Hornet located in Scotland, what story I have to tell, however I'll try and make it short:Attention,

This message could be boring, however I'm only sending out to make you aware that you some times can be cheated out of a great deal of money, in my last case $5,500.- so if it sounds to good to be true, check it out, do your own due diligence and buyer should always beware and proceed with caution. Funny (predictable) I haven't from seller in over a day? Ruby Bennett adviced me this morning of car being on sold I believe on this site?

Ironic I purchased one of the best Hornet's around from him (Rudy) and made the mistake of selling. Do you know anything about tan 52 Wasp on Ebay and it's reserve. It looks nice and sounds good, but after you get car, you see many problems never identified in verbage?

    Thanks,

    Ray
  • Ray-

I don't exactly understand this. Do you mean that you hit the "Buy It Now" button on the false listing? I certainly hope you didn't actually send BOZO money . . .

There is something not right here..... just did another view of the Forum and the following came up... RL Chilton bought this car and picked it up... will be sending email to RL... as soon as this edit is complete... Y'all let the rest of HETers know about this .... Ken

I thought this car sold and had been picked up by a HETer who posted here? Am I missing something??? This car was previously listed in the following thread: http://www.classiccar.com/forums/sh...952+Hornet+Ebay

The new sale requires ....preapproval before bidding... did the car sell or not??

To AKA Sergeant Chris Greenwood, After doing additional research, I learned the following and will try and institute corrective action to all agencies concerned, it's a pity you would use disguise of US FORCES army sergeant name in trying fraudulent sell car of the internet. I wish some agency caught bums like who continue try to cheat unsuspecting lawful citizens; at least I'll do all in my power to do so. Car you advertised on eBay and requested payment using Square Deal was sold at following Classic Club sight: People like you ruin selling/buying over the internet; trust is no longer a consideration, however I do believe you'll get your one day and I hope and trust it will be real soon..

I addressed above message to Bill O'Reilly, Joe Scarborough and Sean Hannity, along to scam artist AKA Chris Greenberg real stupid smart guy, christan first name, Jewish last name, DHL is parcel carrier and not a car transporter, DAS is, bum didn't know anything about the US FORCES, military system and or APO.

No I didn't send him any money and thank you Rudy Bennett, Ken Gates and all others concerned.
