Mine's easy. First car in 1972 was a 1952 Commordore 6 sedan and went on from there with many, many Hudsons until the early 80's. I moved on to different things and passions (nostalgia drag racing for instance) and just recently came back to the beginnings.0

Ok I'll Bite I Always Forget To Ulock The Cap Lock And My Name Is Paul And I'm A Big Guy So Thats How It Works Here Lol0

This was sort of the family joke for all these years. It was the least awfull of two nicknames given me by my older cousin when I was just 5 years old. This was some 61 years ago. I really go by Chaz or Charles.
Chaz0 -
I been a Hudson guy my whole life. My families first car was a Hudson and I purchased my first Hudson 29 years ago. Its was a 49 Super Six Sedan. My wife surprised me with a set of vanity license plates. "HDSN49". That became my calling card. A year later I purchased my second 49 Hudson a 2 door Brougham. For my next Hudson I would like a 49 coupe or convertible.
PS I was born in 1950. I missed being born in 1949 by 2 days.0 -
Ron P wrote:Whats up with some of these names?? Mine is Ron P. Fist name Ron and last name stars with P. Whats your excuse ??? LOL Thanks Ron
I really bought the big ol' Hudson with the huge back seat so I could throw the dog in the back and maybe...just maybe... a woman or 2 in the front seat and go for a long road trip!:D Oh - yeah and the Hudson is WAY COOLER than ANYTHING DETROIT-EUROPE-ASIA puts out these days!:eek:0 -
I would be what many would consider young, in the world of Hudsons, 30 now... even though I have owned a hudson for over 15 years, hence, "Hudsonkid"0

I didn't start to race stock cars until I was 49.. The car number was 49.. Old enough to know better, but too young to resist. My first few races were punctuated by a few spectacular crashes. Along the lines of the late night "Super Dave" that always ends up messing up a stunt. 'cept mine weren't planned. I was given the nick name by the fellow I bought my first stock car from.. The name stuck. Since I have a 49 Super Six..well it figures.. No I wan't born in 1949, got here in 1939 and probably concieved in my Dads Terraplane (He called it his Terrible Plane). Perhaps thats why I have always been facinated by Hudsons.

My login is simply my initials.
BTW, Dak is also Luke Skywalker's gunner during the ice planet battle from "The Empire Strikes Back".
Yes, I am a huge nerd. What do you want from a computer science grad student?

66 is my favorite year for cars and trucks.0

Mine comes thanks to an old roudy buddy of mine that put that on me 'cause in those days we had little money......I grew up very poor. The only cars I could afford were old beat up wrecks (you could buy for $50-$150) that I would drive the p*ss out of and then buy another......they were nicknamed "rails" hence.....j's rail or jsrail. Had alot of fun running grape vineyards and levies though! Actually my favorite vehicle (which I actually owned) was my 1941 Knucklehead (sold it for the down payment on my first house). Nothing like cruisin the highways with 24" (10" higher than my shoulders) of handlebars and 4" off the ground on a rigid frame! Nothin like railroad tracks when your date is sitting behind you! :-)
But the Hudsons a close second..................

Mine is simple. Last name Faust, first initial M, middle initial B. It is simple and makes it easy since I have been a member of many online groups unrelated to Hudsons.

Mine's really simple - my last name. Not enough of us around to have to worry about initials and stuff.0

My name is really Akmed and I live in Outer Mongolia.0

My mom was known as the Mississippi Angel on her CB when I was young and we traveled a lot. Of course, she was born and raised in MS. When I got old enough to have my own CB, I had to figure out a handle for myself. Since I was born and raised in Arkansas, it only made since to go by Arkansas Angel. I have used ARangel as my name on as many places internet wise as I was allowed.0

Hudsondad as I'm "hudsonkids" Dad!0

Now that's funny, right there! What's my excuse? I guess I'll just wait till I get my 2nd Hudson 'fore I come up with a good handle. Besides, my full name's been in my family since the 19th century . . . it works.
Russell0 -
Spring is my last name. My wife called me a speed demon one day at L.A. County raceway when we were racing one of our Hudsons there.

For me Ernie is what we call our Essex and it is a 28 model. Ernie was the kids idea and this is how we now always refer to the Essex!0

HudsonTech is simple - I can't afford a Hudson so I dig out tech data from where-ever I can find it, thus Hudson Technical!!! As for my email address - hester_nec, that stands from (either) hester (the infamous Aunt Hester) New England Chapter (nec) or Hudson, ESsex, TERraplane_New England Chapter. Take your pick on that last one.
Hudsonly,
Alex B (no explanation needed here) hehehehe0 -
Mine is simple. I am building what I believe to be the only Hemi powered Essex that I know of. My real name is Steve Derby. I live in beautiful British Columbia Canada!0

My actual surname is Hudson.
While working in a bike shop, building flathed harley engines for custom bikes, me and the crew became addicted to the movie "O' brother where art thou?". I started calling the bikes "mecegnated" in honor of candidate Stoke's vocabulary.
I was then accused of being mecegenated myself.
The engines I worked on were accused of being "Hudsonated"
therefore, I became known as the "Hudsonator".
My favorite movie line -> "They is MECEGENATED! Hell, they ain't even Ol' Timey!"

Uncle Josh is a creation of Cal Stewart in the late 1800s. He wrote and recorded a lot of 'laugh in every line' stories about a hayseed farmer from 'Punkin Center' trying to cope with life in a fast-changing society. I learn the stories and perform in character. Search the internet for 'Cal Stewart' and read some of the stories for a good laugh.0
