In choosing a name, I thought of my Hudson, a '29 Victoria.

It neat to learn the 'Why' of these names and see cool avatars.

ESSX28 is the number plate on my (1st) '28 Essex Coupe. The plate on the 2nd '28 E coupe is 1928SX. We're only allowed a max of 6 characters on our plates.
  • I work in metal and run a blacksmith shop making custom railings by trade using forging hammers and presses tongs etc., I also fabricate car parts for fun so I thought ironman was appropriate.

Mine is Huddy42 because I own the only '42 Hudson in Australia, and Hudson 42 was already taken, not by a Hudson owner either.

  • i grew up around car shows and drag racing. one of my favorite pro -mods was the "hot rod hudson" i am not positive what year it was but it was one mean ass car. and the coolest part it was once a real car not some off the shefl fiberglass body and pile of parts.

The Hudson forum was probably the first forum I participated in, so just went with my name. Now that I'm active in several other forums, or in the Hudson chat room, you'll see me as "sadayo," an expanded version of my initials.

I'm am named bent metal because if I have to verbally assault Hudson kid again I don't want him to know who I really am. lol, he looks big in pictures. haha Just kidding Hudson kid. : )
  • I used to go by Jerry Taco (switching the first letters of my first and last names) but I heard that officials from Zacatecas had interest in talking to J.T. about a little matter several years ago, so I dropped that.

My Hudson is a '52... and my employee's have called me the "Big Kahuna" for many years. A few years ago, they had a t-shirt made up with a picture of the Hudson on it and the words "Big Kahuna" above the picture, for me to wear at the Route 66 Rendevouz. Since the Hudson is a big car, it just kinda evolved into 52 Kahuna.

Between all the online auctions, Fiat's, Model T's & A's, MG's, Sears Homes, and professional log-ins I couldn't remember any more, so for this one and from here on out I just look at my driver's license.

You'll see me around; I always sign my posts "R/ Roger".

    My actual surname is Hudson.

While working in a bike shop, building flathed harley engines for custom bikes, me and the crew became addicted to the movie "O' brother where art thou?". I started calling the bikes "mecegnated" in honor of candidate Stoke's vocabulary.

I was then accused of being mecegenated myself.

The engines I worked on were accused of being "Hudsonated"

therefore, I became known as the "Hudsonator".

My favorite movie line -> "They is MECEGENATED! Hell, they ain't even Ol' Timey!"

    Mark

funny. i too love that movie. "just as well your mother died during childbirth, she'd of died of shame seeing you"

i go by half baked cos well, i never think things through from start to finish, all my ideas are "Half Baked"
