I was thinking, we will probably receive name tags. What if we write in our "Forum names" below our names so as to put a face with the forum "handles". A couple of years ago I was talking to a member at the swap meet and after about a half hour we realized that we were old acquaintances from this forum. That is a nice thing about the HET Club Forum. I plan to drive my convertible to San Mateo, arriving on the 24th and leaving on the 28th. Fred Connors is going to drive down with me. We plan to drive from Bellingham, Washington to Portland Oregon on interstate 5, then head over to the Oregon coast and drive 101 down the Oregon coast and through the redwoods in northern California ; then on down 101 to the San Francisco bay area and into San Mateo.0

RonS - yes, get there Wed. aft./eve. but leaving noonish Sat. as have to get back to go down to Green Valley to close escrow on a house there.
I have a photo of a '41 station wagon sitting in a guys private little junk yard in Tucson, of course taken eons ago, LOL. Drove a '49 S6 cp. to college there in the late '50s as lived in Ind. then.0 -
Pete, what happened to the Death Valley station wagon?0
-
it's sitting in Eldon's museum0
-
Pete was that the 41 wagon that was at the Tucson AACA Grand National in '99? It was DD gorgeous. Chris Davis had his business coupe here also. BTW, The Tucson Region AACA is hosting a dual meet, ie, a National & Grand National here in March, 2015. Plymouth Owners Club just had theirs here in April. Look me up at the National. Fran & I will be doing registration one day, as the GCC has that gig.0
-
RonS - only restored '41 wagon out here I know of was one Bill Albright did, not sure where it is now but think in the L.A. area & that one came out of Ill. many moons ago.
I know there is a Franklin museum in Tucson & was introduced to the guy who founded it a long time ago by old college buddy who was big into antique car parts + some cars. He restored a Marmon V-16 coupe he got from Harrah's, another long story, LOL.0 -
